Azia Tisdale, MS, LMFT-Associate
Under the supervision of Dr. Latisha D. Wilson, PhD, LMFT-S, LPC
Having a baby is supposed to be the happiest time of a couple’s life according to society, but the truth is having a baby can change your self-esteem, mental health and hormones, time, energy, and more. All of these changes can negatively impact your relationship with your children, your partner, and yourself. I am here to help you and your family navigate this new change and rediscover your relationships.
As a Dallas native, I earned my Master’s in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Methodist University, where I gained a solid theoretical foundation in Emotion Focused Therapy and Gottman methods. Additionally, I speak Spanish and have worked with clients that were more comfortable expressing themselves in Spanish than in English. I have a few specializations including Couples Counseling, Relationship Enhancement, Premarital Counseling, Parent-Child Relational Therapy, and Stress and Anxiety Management.
I have been passionate about families and marriages since I was a little girl because I witnessed first-hand how negative relationships in families and marriages can impact your mental and physical health. As a Family and Marriage Therapist Associate, my goal is to provide a judge-free and empathic space to guide couples, parents, families, and individuals towards achieving healthier, more fulfilling relationships, and therefore enhancing your life. I am committed to helping clients rediscover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and develop the skills needed to foster lasting connections and emotional well-being.
