Heaven Wozny
Graduate Intern
I have a passion for working with Women and the LGBTQIA+ population issues utilizing trauma-informed care. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology in 2019. As a Clinical Mental Health Intern at Tarleton State University, I have experience in Career Counseling, Grief and Loss, Suicidal ideation, Multicultural issues, and Substance Abuse. My research interests have been in childbirth experiences, Multicultural/LGBTQIA+ experiences, and trauma.
My goal is to guide you back to who you are and increase self-awareness through Gestalt, Existential, and Cognitive Behavioral Techniques. Most importantly, to get to know you as a person, remind you of your humanity, and show up non-judgmental and with positive regard for you no matter the issues you are facing.Â
Outside of being a therapist, I am a mother of three. I often say I have lived "many lives". I have been a musician, a stay-at-home mom, and now a therapist. I love what I do and I am genuinely thankful to be considered.
